Martín Lasarte's team faces La Celeste seeking revenge for the last defeat of 2019 in the continental tournament.

After beating Bolivia by the minimum, thanks to a solitary conquest by Ben Brereton, for the second date of  Group A of the Copa América 2021 , the Chilean team is concentrating on what will be its third commitment in the continental tournament. The squad that Martín Lasarte commands will face Uruguay  on Monday 21 at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiabá.

THE COMPLETE FIXTURE OF THE CUP AMERICA 2021

The national team will seek to successfully overcome their duel against Celeste in their goal of qualifying for the quarterfinals. Of course, the statistics favor the team coached by Óscar Washington Tabárez, with 19 wins, three draws and only seven wins for La Roja in 29 games played in the tournament. The last one was registered in the group stage of the Centennial edition, on June 24, 2019, with an eastern victory by the minimum, at the Maracanã Stadium, with a header from Edinson Cavani near the final stretch.
